Before Your Discovery Flight: What to Bring
Bring a driver's license or passport and a credit or debit card if payment is still due.

Arrival and Timing
The flight portion is 30 minutes. Plan about 1.5 hours total at the airport.
- Plan to arrive about 15 minutes before your scheduled time.
- After you book, our team may follow up to confirm the schedule and any arrival notes for that day.
- Dallas Executive directions: Your instructor will provide the current gate code before your lesson. Park next to the main office and wait in the lobby if your instructor is finishing another flight.
- Fort Worth campus directions: Park in the side garage of the main hangar at Hicks Airfield.

Fit, Guests, and Aircraft Limits
- Cessna 150 fit depends on student and instructor size, useful load, and current conditions. Ask us if you want help choosing between the Cessna 150 and Cessna 172.
- If you want more cabin room or hope to bring a guest, ask about the Cessna 172.
- Guest availability depends on aircraft assignment, useful load, and instructor approval for that specific flight.
Current Aircraft
Pilot Rise currently schedules discovery flights in the Cessna 172 and Cessna 150.
Aircraft assignment depends on fit, useful load, weather, maintenance status, and scheduling.
Weather and Rescheduling
Discovery flights may be rescheduled for weather, maintenance, or other safety-related reasons.
Cancellation
Give at least 30 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations or no-shows may incur a fee under the online scheduling terms.

Payment and Check-In
- Use the online booking flow to reserve your discovery flight.
- Check in with your instructor when you arrive for a short briefing before the flight.
- Card payments may include a 3.3% surcharge. Cash and Zelle can be arranged ahead of time.
