Select Your Aircraft

Don’t worry too much about your aircraft choice at this initial stage; you’re free to switch between planes throughout your training. If cost savings is a priority and you’re on the smaller side, the Cessna 150 is a fantastic choice. On the other hand, if you value extra space and cockpit comfort, the Cessna 172 will serve you well.

Both of these Cessna models have stood the test of time in terms of reliability. In fact, some Cessna 150s and 172s built as far back as the 1950s are still airborne today, showcasing their enduring quality. Choose the plane that best suits your current needs, and rest assured that you’ll be flying in a tried-and-true aircraft.

Cessna 150

Cessna 150 BlueJay

Our entry-level training aircraft offers a cost-effective solution but does come with its own set of considerations. The interior space is more compact compared to our roomier four-seater, and there are specific weight restrictions to keep in mind.

If you find yourself above the 185-pound mark or taller than 6’2″, you’ll likely be more comfortable in our four-seater Cessna 172s. We can make small weight adjustments by managing fuel levels for those just above the weight threshold. While this is a safe practice, it’s essential to understand that less fuel equates to a reduced duration for your flying lessons.

Cessna 172

Cessna 172 Red

The Cessna 172 stands as a hallmark of reliable training, earning its stripes in flight schools globally. Its enduring reputation speaks volumes about its effectiveness as a teaching tool.

If you’re considering bringing a friend or family member on your discovery flight, this is the go-to option. Unlike the two-seater 150, the 172 offers four seats, allowing you to share the joy of aviation with someone special.
