Flight Review
We are happy to provide flight reviews!
The FAA requires a flight review to have an hour of ground and an hour of flight. However, many people often need a little more time. If you are flying regularly and review regulations and changes, you should be able to finish close to the FAA minimums.
As a general rule of thumb, for every year you don't fly, plan on 2h of flight training.
Before your flight review:
- Review regulations
- Review aircraft operating manual
- Review topics you are weak on from the ACS checkride standards
Starting at$300
Instrument Proficiency Check
During an IPC, you will be expected to complete flight planning for a cross-country flight. We will then discuss the flight planning, weather, regulations, approaches, etc.
During the flight, we will have to see unusual attitudes, emergency procedures, handling of ATC, flight by reference to instruments, one precision approach, one non-precision approach, missed approach, and holding.
If you are not proficient with any item, we will have to retrain each item to proficiency.
Before your IPC:
- Practice on PilotApproach.com
- Review regulations
- Review aircraft operating manual
- Review instrument procedures
Starting at$500
Complex Endorsement
A complex endorsement is required to fly aircraft with a retractable landing gear, flaps, and a constant-speed propeller.
This includes 2.5h of flight training in a Mooney M20F and 1.0h of ground instruction.
Most pilots need 5.0h of flight training to be ready for their complex endorsement.
Starting at$700
Spin Training
If you are working on your CFI, you are required to receive spin training. This is included in our CFI course. However, if you are working on your CFI with another flight school or independent instructor, we can help you with your required spin training.
This includes a 2.0h flight in one of our Cessna 150s and 30 minutes of ground.
Starting at$400
